Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Cordless Desktop
Logitech has been a leader in technology peripherals and gaming accessories for a long time and always manages to 'wow' us with the products they produce. The Desktop MX 5500 Revolution cordless Desktop continues to keep the proverbial bar raised to an extremely high level.
Upon unboxing the MX5500 I couldn't help but notice the quality was worthy of the hype. It is a solid, well designed keyboard with an LCD digital display, reverse color (white on a black background) so it doesn't detract from the piano black finish. The Mouse is solid, also well built and an ergonomic fit that is definitely comfortable to use.
some noteworthy features include the keyboard's digital display that shows things like the local weather temperature, any song currently playing on your favorite desktop music player (iTunes, WMP, etc), another great feature is the mouse wheel. It has a mouse wheel that can produce a 'click' feel line by line scrolled or it can spin freely to scroll pages faster than a fighter plane.
The battery life on the keyboard is several months and the mouse has a charging cradle so don't expect to make a excessive runs to the drugstore for batteries. The feel of the keyboard is comfortable and quiet. Overall this keyboard and mouse combo is well worth the money (about $170.00) and you won't regret the purchase.
Smart Guy Computing launched its new "Hey Smart Guy" web how-to series yesterday on its Sarasotasmart YouTube channel. The How To's will be only a few minutes long (each) and will be designed to solve problems one at a time so the viewer won't have to watch a 30 minute tutorial video to find out how to do simple tasks.
